INFO

Join over 300 international and MENASA-region arts professionals for an energetically charged, theatrically imbued, and uplifting two-day experience during ACAW's FIELD MEETING: Take 6 | Thinking Collections, taking place at Alserkal Avenue on 25 & 26 January 2019.

Limited spaced, register here: https://bit.ly/2RfEIRT

The first offsite iteration of Asia Contemporary Art Week's (ACAW) FIELD MEETING, a collaboration with Alserkal Avenue in Dubai, stages 35+ newly commissioned performances, lecture-performances, curatorial talks, and a string of pop-up exhibitions by today’s outstanding artists, curators, and creative minds at Concrete, and Warehouses 46 & 47.

This year, the forum - curated by ACAW Director Leeza Ahmady - explores the act of collecting beyond the limitations of an art market lens to reclaim "collections" as the living energy of people: their research, processes, and meaningful activities.

Artists staging pop-up exhibitions include:

  • Burcak Bingol (Istanbul)
  • Nadira Husain (Berlin)
  • Rana Dehghan (Tehran)
  • Amina Ahmed (New York, Tehran, London)
  • Zolaykha Sherzad (Kabul)
  • Bingyi (Beijing)
  • Wang Haiyang & Gao Yuan (Beijing)
  • David Libertson (New York)
  • Bahman Mohammadi (Tehran)
  • Hasanul Isyraf Idris (Kuala Lumpur)
