Celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, in the oldest Indian neighborhood of Dubai, with the cultural gurus from Frying Pan Adventures.
Journey past a sixty-year-old temple tucked away in the alleys of Meena Bazaar, where we will capture glittering streets, family-run jewellery shops that hold Diwali rituals (or “pujas”), and stroll alongside local celebrants decked out in their finest festive wear. For one unparalleled night, the neighborhood explodes with an abundance of street-side energy and kaleidoscopic colors that will dazzle any urban explorer.
Aside from practicing our street photography skills, we will also feast on sweet and savory treats from bustling Bur Dubai eateries. From tangy, vegetarian Bombay Burger's to a plethora of traditional Indian sweets, there will be something to satisfy every palate.
