Young Egyptian singer, Sanaa Nabil, rose to fame through the TV program Arabs Got Talent. The great grand-daughter of Oum Koulthoum’s sister, her parents introduced her to a universe of musical authenticity, and at the age of nine, Sanaa’s interest in the Arab “tarab” singing started to show and she began singing in school. At twelve, she started her voice training with Maestro Salim Sahhab at the Cairo Opera House.
This was followed by her stint on Arabs Got Talent where she was awarded the Golden Falcon, and today, at the age of seventeen, studies in the High Arab Music Institute with the famous composer, Abdo Dagher.
On Thursday 6 February, Sanaa will perform as part of Abu Dhabi Classics and will be accompanied during this evening entitled “Laylat Saltana” by the group “Cordes Croisées”, formed by elite Egyptian musicians.
