The Bahrain National Theater was opened in November 2012, under the gracious and sublime patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the country's monarch.
Bahrain National Theater has hosted many international performances in the fields of theater, singing, opera and others. Concerning concerts and music, the Russian Century Orchestra, the legend of "Yanni", hosted the concert by the Spanish opera singer, Blasido Domingo, and the Russian ballet performance of the Bolshoi and Marinsky groups, and the Elduvo band.
The theater also provides space for cultural events. In 2013, it received the 39th Bahrain Annual Fine Art Exhibition, 39 Korean Folk Fashion Shows, and several other press conferences and award ceremonies.
The Bahrain National Theater was built on an area of 12,000 square meters. The theater, which has a thousand and one seat halls, is located next to the Bahrain National Museum, with a distinctive sea view. His engineering designs and wooden interior walls are an attempt to simulate the atmosphere of "One Thousand and One Nights" tales.
Besides its main hall, the theater includes a cafeteria and an outdoor hall overlooking the theater lake. It also contains a small hall for up to 100 people dedicated to training, press conferences and small celebrations.
The Bahrain National Theater is one of the largest theaters in the Arab world, and it is the third largest opera house in the Arab world after the Egyptian Opera and the Royal Omani Opera.
The Bahrain National Theater is considered the most important crowning of the Kingdom's efforts to enrich the local culture over the past decades, as its history of achievements witnessed the establishment of the first school in the Gulf in the year 1925 AD, and the establishment of the first radio station also in the year 1941 AD, in addition to a large number of cultural halls and cultural work centers .
