INFO
Jordanian artist Larissa Sansour is debuting her 2019 Arabic sci-fi film In Vitro for the first time in the Middle East at Jameel Arts Centre. Set in the town of Bethlehem following an ecological disaster, the film investigates complex themes of memory, history, space and identity. Sansour effectively devises a narrative full of political and symbolic significance, encouraging her audience to pay acute attention to detail and make their own inferences.
In Vitro is showing as part of Jameel Arts Centre’s Artist’s Rooms, a series of solo exhibitions by influential creators pulled from the Art Jameel Collection. Don’t miss your chance to see the film, starting renowned actors Hiam Abbass and Maisa Abd Elhadi, for free at the institution.
